Sinitta Monero is a British screenwriter and producer working across comedy, drama and television. She writes sharp, character-led stories with dark humour, complicated people and a tendency to turn the expected on its head. She finds comedy in the messy, uncomfortable and ridiculous sides of life, and isn't afraid to put flawed people at the heart of a story.
Sinitta is co-founder of It’s Fine Productions, an independent production company developing original film and television projects and supporting distinctive emerging voices.
With more than 15 years’ experience across film, television, education and the cultural sector, Sinitta brings both creative instinct and an understanding of how ideas are developed, commissioned and brought to life.
Her screenwriting includes comedy, drama and genre-blending projects. Her scripts BOSH and Sara White and the Seven Socialites have received recognition from the British Urban Film Festival and Cannes Screenplay Contest. She created the web series Suffering for Black & Sexy TV, graduated from the Channel 4 Screenwriting Course and was a finalist for 4Stories: On the Edge.
Her development and writing-room experience includes work with Sharp House, Black Light TV, Tremelo Pictures, Dark Wave Films and Big Deal Films, as well as the all-female #TellHerVision comedy writers’ room through ScreenSkills and ERA 50:50.
Alongside her screen work, Sinitta has led multi-million-pound programmes across education and inclusion, creating opportunities and pathways for underrepresented creatives.
Sinitta is currently developing and pitching original film and television projects through It’s Fine Productions.

We’re interested in projects that have something to say without forgetting to entertain, stories that can make you laugh, make you uncomfortable, or preferably, both.
